Welcome to my home page. It is my hope that as we journey together in this crazy world of raising children our focus will be on forever striving to be a “father for THE Father.”
That’s why I wrote the book In My Shoes. While it chronicles my own personal journey as a father to four boys over these past 10 years, it is a book that will resonate with any father who remembers with awe the first time he held his son in his arms. From that moment to today, God blesses us with experiences that will – if we just keep our eyes and hearts open – teach us what The Father desires from us as we raise this generation of boys to take a stand for Christ.
The father-son relationship, to be sure, is a special one; just as the one between The Father and The Son is special. That bond between a boy and his dad is strong, as evidenced by his wanting to be like his daddy. What a privilege it is! What a calling!
If you have not read In My Shoes I encourage you to do so; not because of anything I or my family may say within its pages, but what God’s Word says through each story. It’s amazing how God can take a mess of a father like me and use the experiences we share with the reader to both encourage and challenge other fathers through His Word.
